Our History

The Hope Plaza

In 2003, Jonathan and Shena Carey founded The CTC Network Inc. on Grand Bahama Island, The Bahamas. After a hurricane destroyed their facility, their ministry operated as a mobile outreach for many years.

Following Hurricane Irma’s devastation of the Florida Keys in 2017, Jonathan and Shena—who serve as pastors at Glad Tidings Tabernacle in Key West—hosted response teams from the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (RRT) and Samaritan’s Purse for twelve weeks. Their experiences collaborating with these organizations, along with personal encounters with the Holy Spirit, inspired them to establish The Hope Plaza as a ministry base in their homeland. This center is located near Jonathan’s former primary school, where his sixth-grade teacher first introduced him to Jesus. Today, The Hope Plaza serves as the global office for The CTC Network Inc., and also as the Africa and Caribbean office for Frontline Chaplains International.

After Hurricane Dorian struck The Bahamas in 2019, Jonathan participated in relief efforts there. This marked the formal launch of their vision: to help others prepare effectively for times of crisis and for eternity.
